My Tropical Plant’s special Aroid Mix

Composition of substrate:

• Coco Coir - Moisture retention & stable structure

• Chunky Perlite - Root aeration & drainage (large pieces typically sized between 8mm and 25mm)

• Lightweight Horticultural Perlite - Root aeration & drainage (smaller granules typically sized between 2mm and 6mm)

• Vermiculite - Strong water & nutrient retention

• Zeolite - Nutrient binding/gradual release/works as a catalyst

• Bark - Organic matter for microbial life & aeration

• Worm Castings - Natural nutrition & organic matter

• Biocharcoal - Supports positive microbial life & filters toxins

• LECA - Drainage & root stabilization with air circulation

• SRF - Controlled release fertilizer (granular fertilizer)

• Sphagnum Moss - Moisture retention & mild antibacterial action

*The substrate might also contain seaweed bokashi (fermented organic fertilizer), Kokedama, lava rocks, clay pebbles (smaller than LECA), and in rare cases, random Alocasia Corms

**Note that 6 litres, approximately fill 10-12x Ø 12cm pots, or 1x Ø 21-23cm pot
