Anthurium Luxurians
Anthurium Luxurians is distinguished by its robust bullate, darkened leaves. It is likely that Anthurium has the most intense manifestation of bullae ("blisters") on its leaves. The hue of the leaves is also stunning; young plants have totally silver leaves. This colouring fades with size, and the leaves of fully developed specimens turn very dark, almost black.
The leaf veins are deeply sunken, and the lamina of the leaf curves upward in a bubble form among them. These bullae are also found in many other plants which grow in highly shady environments.
